You deserve this:
You deserve this.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
You got here.
No one else did.
Pat yourself on the back.
Give yourself credit.
Stop being so hard on yourself.
Stop thinking you’re not enough.
Stop letting other people hold you back.
Stop listening to other people’s thoughts and opinions about your own life.
Why is their opinion more important than your own?
You’re living your life, not them. So why do you let other people control what you do?
Sometimes you have no choice.
Most people don’t learn that their whole life.
You end up in a life your parents wanted for you and you’re miserable.
This is not what you expected life to be.
But are you comfortable going backwards to go forwards?
Are you comfortable giving up the luxuries and comforts you’ve been able to afford by clocking in and out of work every day?
Are you ready to take risks?
Because you have to be.
Think of it like this.
If you’re young, you have so many years to figure out life.
Go live a bit.
Travel.
Work odd jobs.
Take a year off.
Chill.
Try stuff.
Get off your phone and actually pursue your interests.
Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Growth happens with discomfort.
You don’t learn anything when you’re comfortable.
Go try something new.
Go look like a fool.
See if you enjoy the process, commit some time to it and see how far you go.
We can all start fresh.
Even older folks.
You just have to stick to something for long enough.
Keep pushing through the failure.
Keep pushing through the difficulty.
Because it will not be easy.
Trying to find what you love can be brutal.
It will take a lot of time, likely way longer than you think.
But if you love the process, the time is irrelevant.
You’ll get there eventually.
Just keep doing good work.
Keep improving.
Keep trying to better yourself.
That’s all these blog posts are about.
Constant improvement.
If you ask me, I don't think my writing that’s good.
Other people have noticed it improve.
That’s nice to hear but it still needs work.
I ramble a lot.
I’m not sure if my audience fully understands all the references I’m making.
I need to get better at editing.
But it’s ok.
I’ll get there.
At least I’m trying.
At least I’m putting my opinion out there.
I’m in the arena.
You deserve it just for that.
You’re knocking on the arena door.
Think about that.
On the biggest stage in the world, you could be someone people look to.
Wut?
I still feel like a short chubby Indian kid who couldn’t run.
That guy’s long gone yet he’ll always remain a part of me.
Your childhood shapes you.
I got lucky because I had a positive one.
I was able to take advantage of opportunities.
I had a ton of privilege affording things that most people can’t.
That left a mark.
Most people don’t get so lucky.
Your birthplace determines a lot of where you end up.
The issue is people are walking blind every day to what’s really controlling their brain.
Your subconscious plays such a role in who you are and how you make decisions.
But no one does the work.
People don’t self-reflect enough.
They don’t sit by themselves with their own thoughts away from distractions.
We’re too attached to our devices.
It always has to be around us.
The people that will win the next few decades are the ones who can focus properly.
The ones who don’t let social media ruin their brains.
The ones who are working on life’s most difficult problems.
Focus is at the heart of that.
Learn to focus and master your mind.
It’s a lifelong journey.
I feel like I’ve unlocked a tiny piece of who I really am.
There’s a lot I’ve never really confronted that still shapes who I am today.
I try to recognize it and make myself aware, but it still creeps up.
Rejection sucks.
Don’t worry, keep getting rejected.
The more you get rejected, the more likely you are to succeed.
Increase your frequency of failures and eventually you’ll hit on something.
But you have to keep trying a bunch of things.
You may spend years on a project that is a complete dud.
All good.
What did you learn and how are you going to be better?
What problem can I solve that I see around me?
What’s the best solution and could I build it?
Or could I find people around me or through the Internet to help build it with me?
Ask yourselves these questions.
Go within.
Listen to your thoughts.
Remember, they’re just thoughts.
Nothing else.
Let them go.
Let them pass.
Focus on your own mind and you’ll conquer the world.
My journey has just started but no matter what,
You deserve this.
