Am I scared of judgement:

 

Am I scared of judgement?

 

Should I care about all the negativity and opinions that are going to come my way when people find out what I’ve been talking about?

 

Nope.

 

Because they’re not in the arena.

 

Love Roosevelt’s quote ‘Man in Arena’. It’s on the front of my desk to make sure I see it every day.

 

‘It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.’

 

Who cares about the people on the sidelines?

 

They’re not the ones doing the work.

 

They’re not the ones voicing their opinions and living/dying on their sword for the world to see.

 

A lot of them don’t want to because they’re at specific companies or like hiding their real identities, which is fine. If you don’t want to let people know who you are online for safety or personal reasons, all the power to you.

 

But, it takes a lot of courage to put everything on the line. To speak your truth and fail in public. To do it for the world to see and judge.

 

I say ‘Please, judge me.’

 

Try.

 

Don’t matter.

 

When you hold other people’s opinions of you above your own opinion of yourself, you’re missing out.

 

You’re not happy.

 

You’re letting society decide who you want to be.

 

You’re getting caught up in whatever is happening around you.

 

Who cares?

 

At the end of the day, most of the people you deal with on a day-to-day basis are not going to be around when you’re older.

 

Family and friends will be.

 

Spend more time with them. Cherish them.

 

They all go one day, like we all do.

 

So again, I come back to the question, why do you let other people judge you?

 

It comes from insecurity.

 

But you can break out of that. You can decide today to live your truth.

 

It’s extremely hard.

 

The road is really tough.

 

You will fail over and over again all the time.

 

Just keep going.

 

Keep working.

 

Keep trying.

 

Remember, all you need is one opportunity.

 

All you need is one person to see something you’ve done and find you.

 

Most of us never create because we’re scared of what other people will think of our work.

 

Who cares.

 

They’ll see it in the moment, they’ll judge it immediately and then forget about it.

 

As long as it makes you happy and you enjoy doing it, who cares.

 

If you work at it for a couple of years, learn about distribution through the Internet, you can make money online.

 

Now with what’s happening in the creator economy, the infrastructure is there for anyone to become a creator.

 

The creator economy is about to explode.

 

I’m glad I get to play a part in seeing it prosper.

 

The world is changing.

 

Yet the opportunity is in front of you every day.

 

Screw the people on the sidelines judging you. They’re not you and they’re not in the arena.

 

How you decide to spend your time and whom you decide to spend it with is in your control.
