Everyone needs a list:
Everyone needs a list.
A life list.
A list of the things you want to accomplish in your life.
What did you want to do as a kid?
What dreams did you have?
What dreams do you have now?
Ask yourself these questions and more.
Then write it down.
Write down what you want.
For me, it started with the Buried Life.
A show on MTV in the late 2000s about 4 guys from Canada who wrote a list and asked a question.
Check out the trailer here
The central question they asked was ‘What do you wanna do before you die?’
Then they went out and did all of those things on the list.
Every time they did one of their bucket list items, they helped someone else accomplish theirs.
Those guys inspired my next inspirations.
Yes Theory.
4 guys who met at McGill University and said ‘What if we do something different with our lives?’
Challenge ourselves?
Go down a completely unstructured path.
Then they did it.
Started following them when they were at 10k subscribers.
Now they’re almost at 10M.
It’s evolved over many years but they did it.
They’ve inspired so many along the way.
By asking themselves the same question.
What do you wanna do before you die?
Write it down.
Write down your dreams.
Make them real.
Put them out there.
Why not?
What’s your downside?
Nothing.
Upside?
Infinite.
This is what so many people have figured out.
Started with Think and Grow Rich.
Then Cybercybernetics.
Then As a Man Thinketh.
Then the Strangest Secret.
Faith.
Belief.
Writing down your dreams.
Telling yourself them.
Convincing your subconscious they’re real.
Repeating it again and again.
Doing that for years.
Then watching your mind see it happen.
Watching your dreams slowly come true.
It’s so rewarding.
It gives you purpose.
Something to strive for.
Something to get yourself out of your normal rut.
Make them weird.
Make them wild.
Make them yours.
Write down your list.
We all need one.
