Day 1384 - Jul.14.22 - What can drugs do for you

I can see why drugs can be destructive. They kill your motivation. They kill your time. They kill your ability to be productive. Some people can use it really well. Seth Rogen and Snoop are very productive people that are high all the time, yet I know that habit has also made them more creative. I know it has for me. Some of my best ideas have come while stoned. I’ve had some of my greatest memories while high as a kite, understanding the world through a different lens. That’s what drugs can do for you, they can open your mind to new possibilities and perspectives. It forces you to get out of your head and just enjoy the ride. Problem is the cheap and easy dopamine hit is great for a little while, then it slowly destroys your identity. Continuous use makes you a different person. It can be isolating. It can be your min going a million miles an hour while you dull the pain in your mind and never confront it. That’s how combining it with meditation helped me. It helped me refocus and pay attention to what’s in front of me. Forced me to really feel your feelings and not to get too stressed about being outside the experience. Always make sure you’re safe with people you trust because the first time for everything will feel weird. Then it’s your time to figure out how destructive or beneficial it can be to your life.
