Day 937 - Day 427 - May.11.21 - I’m going to change the world

I’m going to change the world. Not in a little way but in a big way. I’m going to do something so different and unique from the world that people won’t even know what to call me. Sure I’m a doctor turned VC but I want to be known as a great writer, investor and philanthropist. If my legacy is anything, I hope it’s that. I cannot let other people live in the conditions in which they don’t have an opportunity in life. I want to get to a place where every kid has access to the Internet and is free to explore their passions and change their families’ lives forever. History doesn’t remember those who stood on the sideline and watched the world pass them by. It remembers the doers, creators and artists who gave their gift to the world even when the world wasn’t expecting what they had to offer. You have to give your gift to the world. You have to inform people about what’s happening in society because they didn’t get the experiences you did. They didn’t get the opportunity you had. They weren’t born into privilege with good parents who invested heavily in their kids’ education. It’s your duty and obligation to give back what you know to the world. It’s your responsibility to yourself and the world. The first step starts with yourself and that’s something I’m working on every day. You have to strive to be better every day because there’s always something to improve on. Show up. Do the work. Put in the time. You have not taken a shortcut to get to this point. Keep going, you’re doing a great job. You’re gonna change the world, be patient and enjoy the ride.
