Stop complaining

Stop complaining

March 19, 2025

Stop complaining:

Stop complaining.

Stop sulking.

Stop pouting.

Stop it.

It gets you nowhere.

Instead, figure out where you are.

What happened to you?

What did you do wrong?

What can you learn?

Then move on.

Look forward.

Look ahead.

Life doesn’t wait for anyone.

It moves on.

Either you move with it or you don’t.

As Bob Iger likes to say, evolve or die.

The world is not a kind place.

Are there kind people?

Absolutely.

Do your best to find them.

Keep them around you.

Do your best to be their friend.

But the world?

It isn’t kind.

It’s brutal.

It’s relentless.

It doesn’t care about your feelings.

It doesn’t care about your struggles.

It doesn’t care about your difficulties.

It just wants to know how you can contribute to it.

What can you provide?

What can you do that no one else can?

That might take you a while to figure out.

Potentially decades.

Or a whole lifetime.

But that doesn’t mean you should stop searching.

Doesn’t mean you should stop trying.

Doesn’t mean you should sit back and accept your fate.

Get up.

Go again.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Get to work.

Focus on improvement.

Focus on progress.

Focus on mini steps.

What can you do today that improves where you are?

Whether that’s physically, mentally or spiritually, what small action can you take to move forward?

Do that again.

And again.

And again.

And even when you don’t want to.

I’d start with physical fitness.

Get in shape.

Focus solely on that.

Joe Wicks is great for that.

Look at his stuff on Youtube (here).

Hundreds of free body weight HIIT workouts.

Takes you between 20-35 minutes.

Do one of those workouts 4-5 times a week.

Do that for 3 months.

Then watch.

Don’t judge.

Don’t get down on yourself.

Don’t stop.

Just keep at it.

Even when it hurts.

Even when it sucks.

Pair that with a healthier diet.

Cut out the pop.

Cut back on alcohol.

More water.

More protein.

More greens.

Less sugar.

Less processed food.

Even if you can’t do all of that, make small changes.

Like just drink water instead of pop.

Watch how quickly your body will change.

The reason I start with improving your physical fitness is that it’s in your control.

That’s up to you.

You can work at it and see the improvements.

Then start in other areas.

Start reading.

Not tweets or articles.

Books.

Develop a reading habit.

I personally would start with some of the self-help books.

They changed my life.

Here’s a few I’d recommend.

Think and Grow Rich.

Strangest Secret.

Magic of Thinking Big.

Four Agreements.

What Happened to You.

Atomic Habits.

Meditations.

Mindset.

How to Own Your Mind.

Start there.

If you don’t want to read them, listen to their audiobooks.

Free website to download audiobooks here.

Download ‘BookPlayer’ to your phone then transfer the mp3 files there.

Thank me later.

Do this and you’ll be in a way better spot.

Will life get easy?

Will I solve all my problems?

Will everything make sense?

No.

Life rarely does.

You will always face unexpected challenges.

That’s life.

That’s the point.

It’s not about the challenges but how you handle them.

Life will throw everything at you and more.

As Mike Tyson has said, everyone has a plan till you get punched in the mouth.

You got punched in the mouth.

Multiple times.

So what are you going to do about it?

Sit back and watch let life pass you by?

Or go live the best life you can?

The choice is yours.

To do that, you must first…

Stop complaining.
