Stop judging other people's circumstances

Stop judging other people's circumstances

Stop judging other people’s circumstances:

Stop judging other people’s circumstances.

Had a conversation with a friend of mine last night and it made me think.

We were talking about one of our mutual friends who’s in his mid 20s and has never left his parent’s house.

He’s been living at home in a neighbourhood with multi-million dollar mansions around him with everything being given to him whenever he wants.

I made the point that he’s missing out on life because he hasn’t left.

And my friend said ‘why?’

If he’s happy living this life and what he considers normal is a pretty good way to live, why would he leave?

It made me stop.

What do I care what he does with his life?

At the end of the day, you can’t control anyone else’s life.

You can offer them advice and try to help them as much as possible, but they have to make themselves.

If they’re comfortable where they are and don’t want to leave, what does my opinion matter?

Just because I got lucky and left my home to live in multiple cities around the world, why does it matter that he didn’t leave?

Some people are always just going to stay where they are.

But that's sometimes disappointing because there’s this deep down belief in me that anyone with the right help and inspiration can achieve anything they want.

Obviously there are certain things in athletics that are impossible to like playing in the NBA when you’re under 5 feet, but there’s a lot you can do.

If you set your mind to a specific life goal and repeat that to yourself every day, you will get there.

Your mind will figure out how.

It will take many years of failure and what seems like going nowhere, but your mind will show you opportunities that you didn’t see.

The Internet is the great equalizer.

Anyone can create anything they want at scale for the Internet and figure out how to distribute their product around the world.

That’s my plan, distribute content at scale for the world in as many ways as possible.

First it starts with me.

It starts with producing good content.

It starts with living my truth and telling my story.

It starts with writing again and again for years at a time.

It starts with not judging yourself and sharing as much of your opinion of the world as possible.

It starts with providing more value to other people than you receive in return.

If you can share points of view with people that help them learn or be inspired or push them to be better in some way, it’s worth it.

This is all fun for me.

If my prediction about AMC/GME comes true, I’m never gonna have to work again and can use this as a hobby.

Only I can also monetize the hobby.

It’s how Tim Ferris and Joe Rogan live.

They’re just living their truth having fun in public trying to understand the world a bit better.

And you don’t even need that many fans to make a decent income.

Obviously when you get to those guys’ levels you have millions of fans, but what if you predict a market crash?

That’s world history.

That’s governments and billionaires and some of the world’s most successful people reading all your thoughts.

That could put you in a different league of people.

There are not many people that can call market crashes exactly as they happen before it happens and tell the whole world about it.

But that’s just one piece of content.

I have hundreds of others to use in whatever ways I want.

Investing is going to be my main job and if I can become one of the most successful investors in the world by giving out all my ideas on the Internet for free while continuing to write, I could live a pretty good life.

Just do what makes you happy. Ignore the noise of others and focus on yourself.

The best investment you’ll ever make is the investment in you and your curiosities. Don’t do things for other people, focus on doing it for you.

If you enjoy the struggle that comes with it, then who cares how far you go?

You’re only going to go as far as you want in life and if you’ve found happiness doing what you’re doing, who cares about other people’s opinions.

Let other people judge you and your circumstances based on what you’ve written about.

Their opinion of you doesn’t matter just as my opinion of them doesn’t matter.

Let people live.

Focus on you and the work and everything else will come. The destination is not important, it’s the process to get there.

So stop judging other people’s circumstances.
